It’s been over 10 days….

The days are going by so fast. The comiket is close and I’m looking forward to it. Although my sick state is a bit of a ugh. So, why haven’t I been updating my blog that often any more? Well there are several reasons.

1. I’m honestly exhausted.

I always did have low energy, and with the classes I have and all the physical straining and concentration. I think the main problem that it’s frustrating and there’s no actual relief from that. Oh and the fact that I disconnect a lot doesn’t help my frustration either. I don’t show it, but it’s not like it goes away~.

2. Partaking in multiple projects.

The DN Visual Novel is somewhat on a hiatus, dunno. I haven’t got any ideas for it. I have been trying to think up some murders and maybe I’ll do some research too. But yeah, FAD! started up a project where we’re making a small VN project which is most likely to be a murder mystery. I’m in charge of the story but I don’t know what to honestly put. I’ve been thinking up potential scenes in my free time. But nothing Phoenix Wright level. Or even remotely close to having a huge plot twist.

Mostly because with the scenarios it’s hard to have some believable twist to tie in. I mean anyone could say there’s a secret entrance but..

There’s also the fact that I’m doing TPWEVO screenshots which are painful to upload and screenshot every single one and I’m still doing Eastern Starlight Romance on a half weekly to weekly basis?

3. There’s not too much to say anyways.

I can of course talk about my day or what I feel about X or Y. However how many people would truly be interested? Honestly, I’ve been reading a lot of doujins but I’m not some kind of professional artist or story writer. If it’s regards to music then I don’t have a wide variety to say either besides how amazing it sounds or how it sounds in general. I’m not a expert so there’s no real layer of depth I can go into in those areas.

But yeah, I’m still taking requests if any of you guys are interested in hearing me actually do something. Just PM me on Pojo or any other place. I might put up interesting doujin if I see fit that this place isn’t really getting activity.

It’s a grim-dark Doujin. I’m pretty scared by this stuff but I’m really easy to scare. It’s a Touhou doujin that I personally uploaded on imgur for the sake of reading. It’s all in order though. It revolved around a murder incident where you the reader has to personally figure out how it was done and why.

The answer is on the artist’s website or you could personally ask me for the answer. Because well, yeah. I checked the website.

It’s pretty in depth, it’s not one of the things that’s clearly obvious but within a look you realize the clues are a lot more showy then they are.

It’s reasons like this I probably won’t be a good detective. Somewhat like how I get the urge that a murderer is outside my door when I read it in the first place.

I know I haven’t really been updating my blog. But that’s mostly because I’ve been doing the Let’s Play for “Eastern Starlight Romance”. Yes, I haven’t been doing that much either, but I’ve been feeling lethargic. Sorry.

I’ll do my best to update it today, I hope you guys look forward to it and the next addition. It does take a while to do while a short time to read.

Eastern Starlight Romance Playthrough: Part 2.

Resuming from where we left out last time.

Summary: We started the game, Keine visited Marisa out during
winter during a cold snowy day. Keine told Marisa that her Dad
died of Heart Failure in his sleep and left all his belongings to her.

Resolved and scared of death, Marisa sets out into a new year,
promising to over-come death and become immortal.

Several months has past from that day, having more money in her
pocket from selling off the store, she goes and visits Reimu for a

Marisa: You never called me, Reimu. I saw Sanae at the village
more than I saw you.
I see your sense of humor has gotten even more warped.
Marisa: Heh. Guess I can’t fool you. Sorry I didn’t drop by more.

Reimu: And with both you and Suika busy it was just getting quiet
here. Ah, well, I suppose a busy shrine is better than a quiet
She tossed the last bit of seed to the birds then motioned for me
to follower her to her house at the back.

It had been too long since I simply relaxed at the shrine. Even
when Reimu was trying to do something to pull in donations, it
was usually peaceful, no matter what she claimed. Only festivals
and incidents disrupted things seriously.
It was nice enough that I didn’t even complain when Reimu
snagged that last tea cake. She really should’ve let me have it as a
guest though.
Marisa: That’s right, you said Suika’s been busy? With what?
Reimu: Oni things, I guess. I think she’s been trying to start an
incident up in heaven, but I can’t tell.
Marisa: Huh, so I guess the only person who’s been coming by
regular is Yukari then.
Reimu: Nothing’s regular about Yukari. Besides, she’s been
Marisa: Oh yeah. I suppose that’s true.
Reimu: So, did you get done everything that needed to be done?
Marisa: Huh?
Reimu: You know what I’m talking about.
Ah right. She was of course talking about the estate. Reimu knew
me pretty well. Better than to openly ask about my father.
Marisa: Yeah. I finished up everything. The store’s out of my
hands and all the merchandise is dealt with.
Reimu: Sorry I couldn’t be there for the funeral.
Marisa: It was my own fault for not making sure you could make
it. Kourin was there.
Reimu: Good.
For some reason it hurt less when I talked about it with Reimu.
Perhaps because we were old friends.
And perhaps because we were such old friends, she knew when to
change the subject.
Reimu: So, did you hear about what Yuka was up to this winter?
Reimu cheerfully told me about the events I’d missed while I was
stuck in the village. It wasn’t anything that big, but it was
refreshingly normal. After that we sat for a while in comfortable
Reimu: So I guess you’ll be around here a lot more then?
That was a good question. I had my research to do, but…
Marisa: Well, I’ve thought up a new project, but I should be by
more often than in winter.
Reimu: A new project? What is it?
Marisa: Well…

I await your answers.

Eastern Starlight Romance Part 1.

It’s not that I forgot to do the blog post yesterday. It’s just that I was having too much fun with old friends that I didn’t care enough. But, in exchange I’ll be doing a pretty major project. In comparison to my other stuff anyways.

A full play-through of Eastern Starlight Romance. I’ll be stopping whenever there’s a choice and I’ll be giving a span of several hours to a day for you guys to vote for the next choice. You can reply on the DN thread or simply PM me your choice. Or you could reply on my Team Thread and that’d be the easiest for me to see along side PMs. Not to say, the only votes that wlil be counted are the ones that I actually see. I’ll look around for a bit, but I’m not exactly going look though 100 pages to find if someone voted or not. If there’s a clear majority I might as well go along with that choice anyways.

IF there’s a split, then I’m going with the first response, to somewhat inspire to guys to actually partake a bit. How do I check? I look at the time posted/sent. Regardless. I’ll be doing the 2nd part, later tonight. Due to a vote of 3 for A and 0 for B.

The winter of the Hot Springs Incident.

Marisa: Who would come out here in the snow to annoy me?
I took my time getting up from the kotatsu. If they weren’t willing
to wait a little bit, I wasn’t going to waste heat opening the door.
*Play “Knock” SE*.
However, the person outside felt the need to knock again, louder
this time.
Marisa: Yeah, yeah. I’m coming.
I opened the door.

There on the porch stood someone I’d never expected to see at
my home. The half-beast school teacher.
Keine: I’m sorry to have to tell you this, Marisa.
A feeling of dread passed over me. Normally I ignored those, but
this one was different. I hesitated a moment before continuing.
Marisa: Tell me about what, Keine?
Keine: Marisa… I’m afraid your father passed away last night.
I was stunned. My old man? Dead? It didn’t seem possible. But
Keine wouldn’t like to me…
Keine: The doctor thinks it was heart failure. It must have
happened when he was sleeping. There was no pain.
My chest felt heavy, and Keine’s voice seemed weird, but I didn’t
feel much else.
Marisa: I see…
Keine: I’m sorry it took so long to tell you. I’m the only person
who can reach here safely, you see…
She pulled out a simple piece of paper and held it towards me. I
reflexively took it.
Keine: I wish there was a better time for this as well, but it has to
be handled now I’m afraid. This is your father’s will. He left you
everything, as the only child.
She paused, checking my reaction. I can’t really say what she was
thinking. I couldn’t even tell what I was thinking.
Marisa: I… I don’t think I need anything, Keine. Thanks for
offering though.
Keine: Would you like me to handle the funeral arrangements?
Marisa: No. No, I’ll come down and handle that tomorrow. I just
need to get my things ready first.
Keine: Okay, Marisa. You know where to find me if you need help.

I shut the door, then sat down to my fireplace with the will. It
took me an hour or two to actually muster up the strength to read
the paper.
The will seemed surreal. It was cold, clinical, and as Keine said, it
left everything to me, the “first born child.” What made it even
stranger was I had been sure he’d disowned me.
Father and I’d never gotten along, even before I ran away. I
thought I hated him, but the pain in my chest told me that I had
loved him too. It was so confusing.
I’d never done well with family, especially not my father. And now
they were all gone. Separated by death forever.

*Insert new CG*
The strangest thing was that I knew more about dying and the
afterlife than most. I’ve even personally spoken with the people in
charge. I knew Komachi would take him to Shikieiki, then on to
reincarnation or to Yuyuko’s realm.
But it still hurt terribly.
And it still scared me terribly.
I got through planning the funeral alright. But when I started
selling the store that had been my father’s life for so many years, I
realized that everything he’d loved was gone. Taken away by
I have to admit it gave me nightmares.
Fortunately, I managed to slap some sense into myself. I was
Marisa Kirisame, and I was a first-class witch. There was no
problem my magic couldn’t solve.
That’s why on New Year’s Day I swore, as I rang the bell at the
Hakurei Shrine, that I’d beat death. One way or another I
wouldn’t feel that fear ever again.

It was the first day of the third month of the year. It had taken me
three months to get the estate in order, but everything was finally
That meant it was time to get serious about my goals. If I was
going to do something like conquer mortality, I needed to get to
Luckily, I didn’t need to worry about money for a while. The sale
of the shop had earned a decent profit, even with the conditions in
the village. I could work as a full time magician for a while.
To start with, I pulled out my old notes on immortality and spent
a couple hours poring over them. I thought I had a good idea of
what I needed to fix, but actually fixing it was going to take a few
inspirational moments and a lot of work.
I was probably going to need some outside help on this.
Especially if I want to finish it in a year.
I should also try to get back in touch with people. I’d been out of
the loop quite a bit. I wanted to live forever after all, not just sit
around existing forever.
I decided on my first day free to go see Reimu. She was the center
point of activity outside the village. Besides, it’d been too long
since we’d had a good talk about something that wasn’t
Besides, it was always a good time to visit Reimu. I could grab
some food while I was there.

I flew over the budding forest, the scattered flowering trees
sticking out among their still-waking companions. As I
approached the shrine the flowering plants became more
numerous, until I found the shrine itself, surrounded by flowers.
Reimu was in the courtyard, tossing food to the birds. I guess
she’d given up on sweeping until closer to the flower viewing. She
looked up as I landed.

Reimu: Hey! It’s been a while, Marisa.

a even split, I’ll go with the first response.

First Response: N.Nick for A.

Today I’ll pick the first thing on 4chan /jp/ and talk about it.

Woah, Gifs work. This was the first thread picture and it’s a picture of Youmu of course. PCB was my first Touhou game, and Youmu had a nice theme. For me Youmu was easy to get past, I don’t particularly know why. But she was definitely a more interesting character I felt at the time.

As the gardener, I wonder what her actual personility is like. Is she stern? Is she strict? Easy-going? With all that works she has to do I wouldn’t hold it against her to have a short temper. But she’s hard working it seems.

Some people would ask her what is it like to be a half-ghost. How exactly are you supposed to answer that when you don’t have anything to compare it to? Being a half-ghost to her is normal and she probably can’t imagine what it’d be like to be full ghost or full human. Can she control her ghost half? Or does it just listen to her. Is it a part of her, or does it come out of its own will. There’s a lot of mysteries about Myon, I can’t help but wonder. Can normal humans see Myon? People here can’t see ghosts, or maybe they just hide.

Touhou Doujin Anime – Explosion of Patchouli

Explosion of Patchouli was released at Reitaisai SP2. I’ll comment as I watch it. First, it starts out with a generic plot. Although I did say generic, the idea by itself is pretty interesting. To be honest on first impression the artwork of the characters were seriously turning me off from the video.

There are some people who complained about the lack of presence of other characters like China. But adding more characters or less doesn’t usually become a big complaint depending on the story.

Personally, I feel really bad about is how obedient/passive Sakuya is in the video. Well, not really bad but I don’t particularly like it. She was apologizing too much and not actually doing much. It just didn’t seem like her.

The voices are a nice touch, which most animations don’t usually have voices. So, I guess that’s a plus? It wasn’t as good as other voices in other doujins but seeing how its a doujin I give it more credit because of low funding and what not.

I don’t really want to spoil too much but it does give a impression about the potential relationship between Remilia and Patchouli along with Remilia and Flandre.

Well, it’s not as interesting as other animations however. It’s still worth watching.

Comiket 82

The next Comiket is at Aug 8, 9 and 10. Comiket is held twice a year, in Aug and Dec. Known as the winter and summer comikets. Usually the summer comikets have a lot more content as there’s a larger span of time between the two. A huge majority of tables at Comiket, or Comic Market is for Touhou related content. Which is why its usually a great place to sell Touhou doujins even more then Reitaisai which only happens once a year.

There’s a lot of crows at Comiket, so things are well-known for getting hot and humid. But over-all the experience is said to be a lot of fun. Famous cosplayers are crowded around with pictures, and a lot of Promotional Videos are shown though out Comiket promoting new doujins and a variety of other stuff.

The security is there to keep order, although with the crowds its hard to do so. At like most conventions, it’s restricted to usually take photos or videos of any of the videos, artwork where photos are more for the cosplay or shows that go on. Mostly because your actually supposed to buy the stuff if you want to continue viewing. It seems to be a great experience and I’d love if someone who actually went could share their experience with me.

Did I already repeat this? Well the blog idea that I had for today it was a bit too late to do it so eheh..
